Stressvrije Start

11 mothers rated this 5/5

These moms have gone before you:
Personal attention and lasting results
No digital course you copy halfway through or a group meeting where you don’t get any attention. Here, it’s just you (+1) and me. I won’t leave until you feel ready for a stress-free start
IBCLC certified (and experienced)
In my work as a pediatric nurse and IBCLC lactation consultant, I’ve supported hundreds of parents and happily breastfed my son for almost two years.
Partially covered by health insurance
My services are (partially) reimbursed by most supplementary insurance policies: sometimes as lactation care, sometimes as pregnancy classes.
How it works
1. A brief introduction
During a (video) call, you’ll tell me exactly what you want to learn. No question is too outlandish: based on your personal situation, questions, and learning goals, I’ll create a customized course.
2. Your personal course at home
During a course in your own familiar environment, I’ll make you your own expert so you’re fully prepared to start breastfeeding without fear, and with confidence.

3. A stress-free start
After your delivery, you’ll have me on speed dial, and I’ll guide you through your difficult moments. If you like, I’ll come over for “beschuit met muisjes”, and we’ll explore together how the breastfeeding is going.
You can’t see the forest for the trees

Invest in a stress-free start

Are you planning to seriously start breastfeeding?
Smart move. Couples are preparing en masse for the birth (which, if you’re unlucky, lasts an average of 24 hours maximum), but they skip the preparation for months of nursing.
71% (!!!) of women stop breastfeeding sooner than they had hoped. The main reasons for this are uncertainty about milk production and (unnecessary!) pain.
From experience, I know it’s not because these women didn’t really want to breastfeed. The problem is often one thing: ignorance.
You’ll receive my undivided attention in a one-on-one program, so that you’ll master the following within a day:
What you’ll know and be able to do after just one day:
How to tell if your baby is latching on and drinking well
Recognize what constitutes good and bad feeding, so you can be sure your baby is getting enough milk.
Tips for your partner and/or other people around you
Practical tips to make it as easy as possible for you.
How to tell the difference between hunger and other needs of your baby
How to respond appropriately to your baby’s needs.
How to ensure you have ample (but not too much) milk
Tools to use for more, less, or even complete weaning.
How to prevent nipple pain and mastitis
Practical tips and solutions (hello apple syrup!) to tackle the most common obstacles.
How to tell when your baby has had enough
So you don’t have to worry about your baby’s growth and health.
How to use different feeding positions
Pictures of feeding positions are abstract. We’ll practice together so you get a feel for them and they stick.
How to take good care of yourself and get as much sleep as possible
So that breastfeeding is the best choice not only for your baby, but also for you.
How to pump smartly (with a machine or by hand) and combine it with work
I’ll teach you what to pay attention to and how to minimize the hassle.
Why would I actually want to breastfeed?

Of course, you can choose not to breastfeed because you’re afraid it will be too difficult or because you can’t…
…but if you do decide to go for it, it can have many benefits for both you and your baby:
Better brain development and a higher IQ for your baby
An optimal immune system, meaning your baby gets sick much less often
You and your baby build a special bond through bonding moments
A faster recovery after birth, thanks to the hormones released during breastfeeding
A lower risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer
What you get
Strategy consultation by telephone
Discuss your questions, obstacles, and learning goals with me, so you can be sure I’ll cover all the topics you need. Whatever your situation, there’s a path to a wonderful breastfeeding experience for you too.
Ready to start in one day
In just a few hours, I’ll teach you all the information and practical tips that will make all the difference for a stress-free start to breastfeeding. Alone or together with your partner, friend, mother, or other loved one. I’ll create your personalized summary so you can read it again whenever you like.
Ask unlimited questions
No question is too crazy: you can ask me anything as a lactation consultant, nurse, and mother. I stand for personal, safe, and honest service. I’m your professional on speed dial during your postpartum period.
If I can do it, you can too

But after those first few weeks, when things went smoothly, they became moments of peace and relaxation.
Those big eyes with long lashes, smiling up at me, I thought that was one of the most beautiful things ever!
The older Joa got, the better we both became at latching. He’d empty my breast within minutes, and the fewer feedings he needed because he started eating solids, the less it felt like a burden for me.
Breastfeeding can be so wonderful and easy, but the first few weeks are crucial for the rest of the breastfeeding journey.
If you know what to expect, what’s normal and what’s not, and who to turn to for help if things don’t go well, you’re 10-0 ahead!
